The ampersand is an all-important symbol that connects words and ideas into a single thought. It reminds the reader that there are many others which can be associated to the subject. It also lists down thing found inside a sentence. An ampersand means that the whole narrative is not quite finished yet, and there’s something more to look after.
&&&Creative, a design practice founded by Simon Brown, just emphasized how important these symbols are. First, they make use of it (three times actually) as their agency’s name. Second, they have released unique posters which helps a viewer to take a fresh new view about ampersands and how it can be made through various methods.
Some of these typography posters are creative, and some of them are plainly ridiculous, like the twisting of a bodiless, hairy pair of hands and the super flexible fingers. However, we love them because they’re just nicely creative.
